Circumspection's credo: "One just can't have enough urinals."
In the early eighties I moved into a house in which I found two odd shaped glass bottles. Not knowing they were urinals (something I didn't even know existed) I used them to throw my loose change into at the end of the day. A friend of mine gave me number three thinking I collected them.
That's how it all started, no obscure fetish behind it, just a fascination for these odd shaped bottles. Now I just want to collect antique glass urinals from as many countries as possible.
If you have an old glass urinal that you want to sell, please let me know. My email address you'll find a bit lower at the "mail me" link.
Weird? Perhaps. But I can live with it, I am just a misunderstood genius.

I've just bought one of these - pretty much an identical pattern. Mine was bought in England and I reckon it's from around 1800. It has a pontil mark on the base of the bowl and looks to be for both male and female, given the width of the mouth, which looks a little wider than this one. Were they for invalids, or could they have had wider use, such as at the theatre, when toilets were not a legal requirement (or water-closets) as they are today?
good question, I have no idea :-)
